Based in the Bronx, the Yankees are a Major League team. His name is often abbreviated "The Yankees", and most important used nickname is "the Bronx Bombers" or simply "Yankees." Opponents such as the Bronx Zoo or the Evil Empire is sometimes referred the organization.

Franchise History
